Our journey is driven by true passion for food. We want to share this with you showcasing a street food kitchen that is based on seasonal ingredients for everybody – anytime and anywhere.

INTERACTION AND IDENTITY

Food is not just satisfaction for basic needs, it is a phenomenon that adds value to life through social interaction. Food ought to connect cultures and traditions around the world.

TRADITION AND RESPECT

We deeply respect gastronomical legacies from different countries. It is our goal to articulate these various characteristics and methods of a world cuisine.

PERSONALITY AND SIMPLICITY

The belief in our professional work is not rooted in gourmet kitchens. We draw inspiration from our life experience and family traditions. Interpersonal relations are the most important, hence we aim for affordable products that welcome a broad audience.

TASTE AND QUALITY

The ingredients we use are the result of thorough research and close collaboration with handpicked suppliers. Seasonal raw products filled with rich taste and quality build the core of our work approach.

About Us

Copper and Wheat is an enterprise founded by Alex and Pierre. Two french men on their pursuit of shaping modernity with tradition.

A story reasoned by love, travel and the desire for knowledge. Two roads that began somewhere in the north of France, one that accelerated to the US for highly professional working duties, another intellectually minded with strong curiosity for cultures out in this world.

From South America to Asia the love brought Pierre to Copenhagen – the teacher and calm anchor from the Normandy. Alex, the young guy from Metz, was pushing it hard in NY as an engineer seeking for more creativity in a place no better than Copenhagen.

An entrepreneurial mind set and a common feel for culinary traditions cultivated by the families’ eldest led to prize winning projects. Two personalities proud and raw, willing to work hard for their own little space ship to take off.

Eventually an idea was born, a concept rolled out in a street food stand, a think tank for food innovation, a place to meet and a school to learn.

Probably the best place to start an adventure, to test out ideas and experiment surrounded by a fresh crowd. A hot spot in one of the most beautiful cities in the world. We have seen this place growing, it is a buzzing place by now. Close to the water, rough and charming. Made for bearded pirates that labor for the finest sorts of beer, but also gallant food connoisseurs on their search for specialities.

Copenhagen Street Food gathers gastronomes from all over the world under one roof. In a street food manner you will find food vendors in all kinds of forms. Trucks, wooden huts, ship containers and more than enough space to sit down with your friends, lunch, dine and wine.
